Post by: A_lights on March 03, 2013, 06:06:32 PM
well i have many of them and no use as i only use F40T12 lamps

If anyone would like any they are free just  cost shipping all work too

I also have many advance mark 3   .73A  F40T12 ballasts if anyone  would like one for shipping as well

Lamps i would prefer to ship at least a pair per person

Are the lamps new? If so I'll ask my grandpa if he wants the lamps. If he does, he'd probably take one or two dozen. Shipping would probably be a lot though. i made up some demensions for two dozen lamps (49"X10"X7" box @ 4 pounds) from MI to RI and it's a little over 40, about the same that He'd pay for 10 lamps at Home Depot. So he may find it as a good offer if i ask him. He doesn't care if they're 34W. i'll have to make sure no 34W lamps make it in the bathroom preheater though. I'm going to try and replace the bathroom light with a 2X F32T8 strip someday before he sells the shop.

They all are used, a handful seem new with no blackening at all

Hmm are they lightly used or are some pretty used up? I actually calculated wrong with the lamps. i saw the price for express next day delivery. So, at 7 pounds, in a 49X10X13 box, it's $27 and change to ship 48 lamps to my grandpa's shop. This could make his day! He'll have lamps until he retires lol. If he likes the idea would you send 48 (or however many he wants)? I'm thinking he'll go for the biggest quantity he can lol. i haven't asked him yet though so i don't know if he'd want them. If most are only lightly used he'll probably want them. I'll talk to him the next tim i see him and reply back via PM. I will see him on easter if not before that. do you know how old these are? Are they all the same batch or a mix of batches together?

they are slightly used, and wow that's a good price, is that USPS?
i have never sent 4ft lamps so i am wondering how to protect them so none break, i was thinking packing peanuts in the end with a slightly longer box(which i have)  then the lamps themselves i will space using a piece of cardboard to keep them from banging around/into the edge of the box
i can send as many as i have but only 25 will fit in a 1ft by 1ft by 50 IN box i have so it would probably cost more to ship 2 boxes, he would probably get a good deal that way seen here HERE (http://www.galleryoflights.org/mb/gallery/displayimage.php?pos=-15151)

yeah that's USPS. I'll talk with him about it. He might only want one box though.

I wish I could grab some for my stockpile, but I'm moving next spring... I'll have to wait a little before I start getting tubes again LOL.

@ Vince; I'll tell my granpa there's only 25 lamps so you have a better opportunity as well as anyone else willing to go for them.
