Stupid California, they are starting the ban a year early. By 2013 all 40-100w incs will be gone! I guess CA did a good job getting people to use CFLs as nearly half of the porch lights I see lit up at night have CFLs.
-
CA will also have a lot of forest fires.....and that time...not from dry air....but from CFL and CA will become a state with most pollution.....from melted plastics, all smoke from CFL, mercury from CFL, and all that......you better move to Florida or other area like one of the members already are doing......
-
That would be MEEE :P california SUCKS, at least I can use halogens!
-
I guess we'll all have to stock up on many incandescents as we can since big brother won't stop messing with us. >:(
-
Banning a light bulb is stupid! They should be focused on more important things then this!
-
I'm already stocking up. A local hardware store near me had incandescents for 25 cents a box! two lamps per box.
-
Same with me, I believe they're banning incandescents next year in Canada but I already started stocking up on incandescents.
-
Many stores in California finally ran out of 100w (actually 95w) bulbs. They disappeared as soon as they were stocked! Some stores still stock on new 100w GE Reveals and Wal-Mart still has 90w Wattmiser soft whites.
Seriously guys I feel like I was hallucinating when I see no more 100w bulbs, only up to 75w. Must have been looking at them for the past 30+ years!
-
Well, I have been stocking up for quite a while, and I no longer live in California! I now live in Florida, and there are NO weird wattage bulbs here, and I am still stocking up on them!
-
Well, the time has come where the 100 watt ban is here for all US residents in 17 days. :(
-
For those who can drive up to Canada you can still get 100w bulbs here until 2014, the ban got officially delayed.
-
Will they still make rough service and 130v 100w lamps at least? :-\
-
Rough Service lamps might be exempt as they are not classified under general service.
-
The government needs to just disappear off the face of the earth!
-
Is it true that Congress overturned your bulb ban? :D
Congress overturns incandescent light bulb ban (http://www.washingtontimes.com/news/2011/dec/16/congress-overturns-incandescent-light-bulb-ban/)
-
I saw the same thing today! :D Now lets get 'em to unban mercs! >:( (i know, not happening)
