Phil1995:
Hello everyone! I'm new here and I got a lot of pictures for you! :D these are sightings from 2008 to present. I am somehow interested in vintage streetlights. Feel free to ID the picture I will post since I does not know a lot about streetlights.

lets start with some Powerlite "poubelle"(as joe call them) I've read somewhere these were westinghouse, a least 2-3 years ago ... from when they date? there are a lot on quebec's roads but they tend to be replaced with newer fixture  :8), there is one main blvd in my city that got a bunches of them. otherwise I remember 2 other towns they have some and also I remember seeing one Powerlite poubelle around Ottawa back in 2008(on a small industrial street). Any other infos on these streetlights?

Mike:
The 7th pic is an early Westinghouse OV-50 silverliner.
The 8th is a OV-25 and the 9th a OV-15, also from Westinghouse.
The 10th and 11th pics show  Powerlite B2255s (if i remember the model # correctly...)
The 15th pic at the shell station shows two Poerlite R47s.

Welcome to the Gallery of Lights! I'm Mike. ;) 8)

BTW, you can post your pics in the Gallery Section of the site. That way people can comment in individual pics and there's a better chance they'll get seen, as the gallery tends to be a bit busier than the forum. To upload your pics, Click Here.

hope you enjoy the site! BTW, you know Joe from Ontario eh?

joe_347V:
Welcome to GoL! Nice pics too, I'm guessing you saw my Powerlite guide then?

I also recommend posting your pics in the gallery since in addition to what Mike said, you can also sort your pics into categories.

Anyways Mike pretty much identified most of the models I know, alside from the clamshells on the 12th pic which sorta like a Joslyn to me and the gumballs which look GE.

Oh and those mercury R47s are rare almost all of them here are HPS, in fact the only MV one I've seen is the one I converted to MV from HPS.

vintagelites:
I'm diggin the quad of OV-35's.  One of my favorite clams.
