Title: One of the largest known signal collections
Post by: basilicon89 on January 15, 2011, 12:53:46 PM
I had the opportunity to meet a collector last May (those of you who've seen the Traffic Signal Collector meetup photos I put up) that has about a million invested in signals alone. On top of signals the guy has 6 cars, three of which are corvette stingrays he restored. The guys in oil so hes obviously loaded. The collection is spread out throughout a large barn with only a handful in the main part of the barn. In this video, you'll just see maybe 1/4 of the whole collection. (Lots of bells and noise, turn down audio a bit)

This is like the coolest place I have seen, it sure looks like a fun place to be, I also have an interest in signs, traffic lights, anything utility so this place would be just an awesome place to visit.

Were you talking on the video or anything, I do not know since I am profoundly deaf!

Everyone was talking. I said "Crouse Hinds Clock Explosion Proof Clock!" We spent about 3 hours at this place. We'll be back this May.

Heres another video shot by another collector

I'm in this video around 1:43. I am the one that says "Not in this one, just in Jays" Me and a few guys were trying to troubleshoot the cabinet that Dave opened for us. Its the cabinet that I point to in the video I took.
