Post by: seansy59 on November 03, 2011, 02:47:16 PM
I need a new F13T8 fluorescent bulb for an old preheat light in an 70's sign. Can anyone find one thats not an "Alto" online for a good price <$10 including shipping.

Choose from Sylvania and GE here:

Or Eiko which is 1/8th the price of GE, don't expect much though. :P

I'd buy the 6500K Sylvania lamp if it's a sign light you're using it in.....

Really depends on the sign's colour....

Ehh. Not really. Purely white light makes things look better. If the sign was orange you wouldn't put a hps lamp in there i hope.  :P :o

The 6500K has the highest color rendering, but it's really all in what you prefer. I like cool white lamps best.

Like I said D looks better with some colours and CW with others.

Usually Daylight or /D is around 6500K and Cool White, /CW is 4100K.

It depends on the company, some call it daylight, some sunshine, some call it natural sunshine.
