I was broswing the electrical forum on a diy site and I came across a thread (http://www.doityourself.com/forum/lighting-light-fixtures-ceiling-exhaust-fans/323328-finding-mercury-vapor-replacement-bulb.html) about mercury vapour fixtures and lamps.
One of the fixtures linked was this (http://i158.photobucket.com/albums/t103/ArgMeMatey/P1000326.jpg)
I wonder who made such a fixture...it almost looks like a cross between a cobrahead and a powr/bracket. :o
Oh and here's (http://i158.photobucket.com/albums/t103/ArgMeMatey/P1000329.jpg) the lamp they were talking about...I wonder what brand it is and it's age?

I want that light!!!!! :o :D
-
Me too, I wonder how old is it too.
-
It looks 60s-70s

It looks 60s-70s
My assumption.....

I'd like to know who made that. :D Maybe McGraw-Edison or American Electric? Hmm.... Just like how many licks does it take to get to the tootsie roll center of a tootsie pop. "The world may never know." lol.
-
Anyone else want to chime in?

Ehh. i've noticed nither the forum nor the gallery have been active lately. The GoL has its 100th member thoguh! :D

Please talk about the fixture here, the offtopic thread would have been better for comments like that.

...
do you think this has a 12" or 8" refractor? It looks 8" to me, but I think 8" is something newer.....
-
Yeah it looks sort of like a 8" reflector and I guess no one else here wants to post here...............
