Title: Movie on the Video Detection in my Collection
Post by: basilicon89 on February 11, 2011, 04:58:03 PM
As the subject says, I shot a video showing the sequence changes based on detection picked up by either the left turn signal video camera, or the side street video camera. Also pedestrian detection is placed to view the sequence on that.

Enjoy.

Okay dude, that was the COOLEST!!!!!

Man that made me want to setup something like that! Think you could give me tips or help on that? Of course I don't have a lot of money for something like it, but I do have TWO traffic lights myself. A Crouse Hinds dating to 1985 and a McCain dating to 1993.....the C-Hinds is a 8 x 8 x 8 and the McCain is a 12 x 8 x 8

Any ideas ;-)

The camera equipment is connected to a video input panel and then to a video processor machine on the second shelf in the cabinet. The processor has software downloaded to it through my older laptop. The equipment came with the CD to program the processor and draw in detection zones. All my signals are controlled by that cabinet. Here is the  Video Detection stuff (http://www.galleryoflights.org/mb/gallery/displayimage.php?album=336&pos=18). I have about $1,000 invested in my cabinet alone.

Nice two signals to start with. Crouse Hinds sold their signal division to TCT in the mid 1980s. So you got one made just before the end of the Crouse Hinds production.
