In Vancouver, at the same demolition site, two light standards were hit by debris,one knocked down completely ,and the other hit to leave the streetlight hanging.

Found another video...same ones but in an opposite view....one was already hanging...but you will see how the 2nd one ended up!!!!

Here the building would have been stripped apart brick by brick for reuse!
Like how light that pole was, must have been a GRP unit.

Here some items are salvaged and resold at New and Used building materials stores,unfortunately an awful lot is just scrapped and taken to the landfill.
