Title: New Sig
Post by: basilicon89 on October 05, 2011, 12:17:49 PM
Awaiting the newest addition to my basement intersection....and Intelight ESB signal. Got it from a contractor that salvaged it after a knockdown. It's in great shape and works. Wasn't cheap to get but it definitely is the most high tech traffic signal head out there. All software driven technology and programmable LED logic array.

Here's a pic of one...mine is black.

Mine will be here Friday and pictures will be taken

Nice find Nick! I've only seen a few interesctions in Ontario with those signals. Most intersections that need PV lights use 3M or McCain heads instead. I'm looking forward to the pics particularly any inside shots.

Intelight is still kind of obscure compared to companies like McCain and 3M. 3M already closed up shop on their programmable head, and McCain will eventually follow. Both the optical tape PV signals are obsolete now with the advancements in computers, steerable beam technology, LEDs and other things.

The inside of the Intelight is very high tech. Alot of circuit boards and electronics for built in cameras (don't think mine has the cameras though) and software to program the signal. They truely are like no other traffic signal.

I'll take good pics and video of everything when I get it. Should be here tomorrow afternoon.
