Take to Task: What’s not working

New Item: Atlanta

Traffic lights’ timing at hand

A troublesome stretch of a busy road is causing Stacy Dietzler consternation.
She asked us to look into the poor timing of three lights heading south on Monroe Drive right past Piedmont Avenue and Monroe Drive, specifically starting with the Dutch Valley Road light, the Worchester Road light and the Amsterdam Road light.
“We’re looking at approximately four-tenths of a mile where the two southbound lanes completely back up at rush hour at the end of the day,” she said.
We contacted Atlanta officials and will update you on the situation.
