Title: eBay Line Materials with arm and radial wave
Post by: Pyrex999 on April 09, 2013, 01:21:45 PM
I am new to the site and I will apologize in advance for being one of those guys that signs up for a site just to sell something, but this is something I really hope goes to someone who will appreciate a vintage street light. My grandfather worked for the Hutchinson Minnesota city power plant (hydro-electric dam on the river in town) for over 40 years and over the years he brought home many, many decommissioned light fixtures. He often converted them for home use. When he passed, I took a bunch of items out of the garage attic that he never quite got around to using.

I have sold most of it locally including GE street lamp globes from the 30s and large, heavy lamp post parts as they seemed too difficult to ship. I still have a couple items and I would like to see them get in the hands of someone who would appreciate them. The following is my ebay listing for a Line Materials Street Lamp, including the support bracket. A relatively short bracket, so it would be convenient to use.

I would prefer to sell it to someone on this site rather than pay ebay any fees. If my price is way off base, let me know. Even if you are not interested, I would appreciate any information you may have about the street lamp. It is Line Materials, but not NEMA, I have never seen one quite like it. The globe is open bottom ("bucket style"?) and solid glass, very heavy.

One other auction I have for sale is an old radial wave lamp shade that he converted into a hanging lamp, he used it in his shop, works fine and you could easily remove the lamp parts if you did not want that.

Thank you for looking.
