here's some good ballasts, parallel RS and no EOL protection, they are real cheap Here (http://www.lighting-gallery.net/gallery/displayimage.php?pos=-82085)

ahh nice for mimicing classic T12s but i don't think they'd be too good for widespread use since they're not potted so humidity would kill them and EOL lamps would too. I like that magnetic RS is mimicked.

Magnetic T8 also mimics T12 closely too, complete with ballast hum. :P
