Title: What are these?
Post by: bryantm3 on July 30, 2012, 12:58:27 PM
I was driving around in midtown last night, and I came upon these— I've never seen any new cobraheads in the Atlanta area that were not sodium-vapour, until now. Along 8th street, between Juniper and Piedmont there were these, actually very pretty new lights, but I wasn't sure if they were LED, Induction, or Metal Halide (that's how good they were), although I'm leaning towards LED. I got out and examined them and even took a flashlight and tried to look at the NEMA sticker but they were just too bright to see the sticker. I did take some pictures on an iPod, and as soon as I can figure out how to get 'em off of there I'll post them, but for now here's a google maps view of the street with a closeup on the luminaires.

May be the GEs.....but hard to see.....

For iPod taking pic...I recommend you to install Drop box on both the PC and iPod....then both the drop box app to be signed in the same sign in name and you can have the pictures automatically transferred to the computer without a sweat and then upload it from the drop box in the PC.

https://www.dropbox.com/

its FREE!

sorry for the quality. the reason i was having trouble getting them on my computer was because it's my brother's iPod. we ended up sending them via e-mail.

Howard Lighting you say? are the howard lighting ones bare LEDs? because these weren't, they had lenses.

i have to say these are the best new luminaires i've seen.

after looking at them i'm 99% sure these aren't the models there— they aren't MH or SV and they don't have bare LEDs either. i'm thinking they might be the GE evolve ones as those are the only ones i know that aren't just bare LEDs.
