INDUCTION lit parking lot!!!
I took a lot of night shots of this parking lot...Those are the exact same ones as those found here

I really LIKE those very much...ALL of them was working (except for 2 next to each other which could be ground fault?) And they give EVEN BETTER light distribution and MORE SMOOTH diffused light than a clear MH with reflector!!!!

So beautiful!!!

What do you think guys?!

Impressive to say at the least. Shocked Smile

Too bad no one's installing induction outdoor lighting near me, I kinda want to see them in person but they do look pretty nice on the pic.

I know some induction fixtures on I-70 after exiting Denver in the plains. (East side) There are a bunch of them in shoe-like boxes. Since they are too far away from home I haven't seen them lit. But they aren't too far from Denver.

I guess CDOT used them

Very nice! Is it just the pic or doesn't the light distribute very far? That's a problem with induction cutoff fixtures.

Yeah it's pretty much EXACTLY what you see here....it is not only induction that is the problem, it's a problem with HPS too....It's the fact that Dark Sky want's us to use FCO....but induction seems to make EVEN SMOOTHER distribution than a reflected clear MH from what I saw!

That's why I support coated HPS in FCO fixtures!

we have some test Induction Cobraheads up in Springfield, MA. They are 100 watters and seem to light the road up very well.

I like the light they produce so much better than the (IMO) ugly pinkish-orange glow of HPS. It's almost like going back to the days of mercury vapor streetlights I guess.

YES! Very Happy

Funny thing about the induction conversation, is it seems they only did it in Howard County to several of the shopping center parking lots, with same fixtures, and around the same time, so it may have been the county's project.

I know a lot of people don't, but I actually LIKE seeing the changeover from HPS to PSMH, LED, or induction...except vintage MV fixtures...
Granted, I like HPS but I don't like the ugly orange light pollution...
