According to here this place was built in '63 but was renovated in '91.

If they were originally MV the external label would still say mercury vapour on it Razz

I don't have a X-ray camera that can read ballast labels Laughing

If you want to be technical, it would say "Mercuy Luminaire" Razz

Mine doesn't have a ballast label. Inside or out. It has this yellow card clipped onto a wire inside.

When the Illinois Tollway system was opened around 1956, they had the same type of davit pole at their servive areas with Form400s.

A little update on this, the buildings have all been demolished and McDonalds and Petrol Canada signs taken down but the streetlights and street signs are still up.

Yeah lights seem to be the last thing to go. When the all so klutzy RIDOT does major road work, most of the breakaway bases activate sending the poles and lights down.... Rolling Eyes

Then they put up a new light and it falls again when it gets hit my their machines again. What a waste of lights. Mad

Update: The lights and poles in the westbound service centre are gone now but the poles and lights in the eastbound one are still left.

Yeah, sadly I think they took down the lights on the eastbound side sometime last December though. I think the last pair of Ovalites from this lot might be still up though. Shocked
