EARLY OV-15 with an ORIGNAL refractor!
Here is one of the few early OV-15 (see the side bolts) and it has its original refractor! Yes Sir! It's found not too far from my house near the OV-14Bs and a few OV-12s and a few HPS OV-15 Tudors!

Looks like a sweetie! Yes I have seen this refractor on OV-15s.

I didn't know this is what they originally had. I like it better than the squared-off ones on later models.

This style was also used on AE Model 13-000 but the difference is the AE ones had the AE logo on the glass.....LOL

What are the bolts on the side for?
GullWhiz   [Sep 11, 2011 at 08:39 PM]
The very early OV-15s (1965-circa 1967) had the bolts on the side. It's for the adjustment of tilting...

Waaay off topic now aren't you guys?

To the light, the refractor is glass right? It seems AE uses the same designs that Westinghouse used, but I bet holophane made the glass on both though so yeah.

the comment threads never stay on topic most of the time....

Ian and if you were paying attention to your own page....I was working on the aviators and stuff in the page on that day Sept 11 and Sept 12...so it was only for 1 day....

@LilCinnamon, the squarish glass was not made by Holophane but rather Corning(Pyrex) glass. I have just gotten the OV-25 version of it.
