LED Streetlight Here's the bottom view of the type of LED luminaire that has replaced a lot of cobras like this [url=http://www.galleryoflights.org/mb/gallery/displayimage.php?pos=-2845]Powerlite R7[/url] on a lot of the side streets in the industrial areas of Vaughan. This particular one replaced a AE 125 though. The arterial roads which are maintained by York Region and freeways which are maintained by MTO are still HPS. I've seen them at night before and I think IMO, that the old drop lensed cobras better distributed the light, I also saw some lumes that weren't lit too. LED Streetlight

Here's the bottom view of the type of LED luminaire that has replaced a lot of cobras like this Powerlite R7 on a lot of the side streets in the industrial areas of Vaughan. Effectively, its a Lumec Roadstar lantern with the Lifeled technology from Philips (Lumec is a brand of Philips Lighting)
Also the Led technology from Philips is good in quality.

Do you have a picture at night ?

These LED streetlights look worse than HPS cobraheads.

Yeah I'm not a fan of these LED fixtures too, I think this particular one replaced a HPS AE 125. I don't have a night pic though.

Yeah they're kind of spotty at night, even more than the old HPS cobras. Confused

a recently remodeled Dairy Queen replaced their old Metal Halide and HPS floodlights with New LED's,the level of illumination is less than half of what it was originally,a litle dissapointed in it but they did seem to spread light evenly enough and the color temperature was nice....we'll just see how they last in the Long run.

I noticed a manufacturing plant had HPS GE M-250A1 Power Door fixtures replaced with LED's recently, they look similar to metal halide.

Yep, I also noticed that Mississauga is also testing some LED and induction fixtures near the south end of Mavis too.

Markham and Richmond Hill still uses HPS.

Well the LED panels DO say Phillips on them, so yeah you got the right model.
