The lamp inside.
Here is the lamp inside the Form 109. Is that... Metal Halide?? I looked closely and it looked like it had a metal halide lamp in it.

No that's definetly mercury vapor. MH arc tubes are much shorter. The white on the ends is probably becuase this is either a LifeGuard or Bonusline lamp.

Whoa thats some real heavy glass! Shocked The lamp looks like an old Westinghouse Lifeguard mercury lamp.

shape of the Refractor looking below almost looks like a Form 400..that glass does look thick...are today's refractors this thick?
LilCinnamon   [Feb 21, 2012 at 01:30 PM]
Form 400 has the same glass design as the Original M-400 up to the M-400 R2, And the glass design has gone through several minor changes, like deepness of the refractor.

Yep it is indeed a MV lamp. Ian I suggest you start studying lamps more now to learn more about lamps. Put your streetlight "obsession" (hey we all have our obsessions, so do I!) aside, and start expanding interests that is linked to streetlighting, such as lightbulbs and photocells!!!!!!!!!!

Well I do have a whole collection of photocells already. xD And lamps too. I am interested in the lamps too, I would like to learn more about them.

I would save it if possible, that 400w BT lamp looks pretty cool.
