Hmmmmmm! That reminds me, you know the Philips Duramax 4 pack soft whites? The packages have a picture of a generic bulb on the front, made by GE! You can make out the etch barely.
GullWhiz   [Dec 05, 2012 at 01:25 AM]
oh Wow....they should be SUED!
streetlight98   [Dec 05, 2012 at 01:33 AM]
What i find hillarious is that they don't even attempt to disguise the M-250R2s. Laughing i mean if they used the GE M-400, then at least you'd have something similar to the 125. Laughing

Laughing Maybe AEL should have used this pic instead.
streetlight98   [Dec 05, 2012 at 01:41 AM]
Joe: that pic is so much cooler than the one that they used!

Introducing the new AEL M-250R2.5 Series.
streetlight98   [Dec 06, 2012 at 01:52 AM]
LOL this has ben on AEL's site for over a year and it was really bugging me. Laughing

I would laugh so hard if they switched to my version in the next few days. Laughing Shocked
streetlight98   [Dec 06, 2012 at 08:44 PM]
They probably don't have a clue it exists. Laughing What if you emailed them your "corrected" pic? Razz Shocked Laughing
GullWhiz   [Dec 06, 2012 at 09:11 PM]
yeah that would be swell and I wonder if they will accept or not.....usually those stuff are made by designers, and they know NOTHING about lights, they just design....
streetlight98   [Dec 06, 2012 at 10:05 PM]
now that you mention it, they probably have a contract with the designer to not use any other work. Neutral
joe_347V   [Dec 06, 2012 at 11:44 PM]
Well, if any of you guys want to email them feel free to mail them. I wonder why the designer chose that photo though, even if the model was correct it's just a boring row of lights. Laughing
streetlight98   [Dec 06, 2012 at 11:48 PM]
i noticed the pictured 125 is induction a few minutes ago. just a guess, but could the ad be implying that the GEs were replaced by induction 125s?
joe_347V   [Dec 06, 2012 at 11:53 PM]
Well, it was advertising induction sources, so I guess they wanted to show a picture of one. Razz
streetlight98   [Dec 06, 2012 at 11:56 PM]
oh wow it even says it in the ad! Embarrassed Laughing well, i guess they indirectly were trying to say that the R2s were replaced. Laughing still it'd make more sense to show the new lights after the installation or provide some sort of story behind it.
joe_347V   [Dec 07, 2012 at 03:50 AM]
Well, I originally thought the 125 was HID and that they just mentioned induction in the caption. Razz

The AEL 125 and the GE M250R2 and even the GE M400R third version looks very similar.
joe_347V   [Nov 12, 2023 at 08:22 PM]
Well I give you that the 125 and M-400R looks similar. Kinda hard to mistake them for a M-250R2 though.
