That's a big big WOWEEEE!!!! The gumball part is a Line Materials for your info! I would love to have that...although I do have a refractor of one of those!
LilCinnamon   [Dec 07, 2011 at 08:19 PM]
From the Cup-Light? xD

Are these incandescent fixtures?
GullWhiz   [Dec 07, 2011 at 08:22 PM]
Mine is not a cuplight......
LilCinnamon   [Dec 07, 2011 at 08:25 PM]
Oh I got confused. xD The refractors looked similar.

You are talking about that LM Gumball you have. It would be cool if I could have one of these! Or a GUmball refractor for my NEMA head.
GullWhiz   [Dec 07, 2011 at 08:29 PM]
Yes the McGraw Edison Mini gumball I have...for Canada......

The cuplight is actually regular sized gumball with "one piece NEMA head Reflector' custom design The NYC Westinghouse AK-10 cuplight isn't exactly an NEMA standard but the top half of the housing is based on the NEMA head of Westinghouse...only to add the reflector area with cast body......

Nice find bud! Yep it is precisely called the L-M Spherolite Jr. I have seen a couple in Florida.

Interesting, I've never seen this style of mini gumball before.
GullWhiz   [Dec 08, 2011 at 02:59 AM]
It's basically a normal NEMA head with a shrunk gumball glass and reflector....simple as that!
Form109   [Dec 08, 2011 at 04:46 AM]
this size refractor can only fit Medium Base lamps right?
A_lights   [Dec 08, 2011 at 02:52 PM]
So are these incandescent or MV? No one has answered Confused
GullWhiz   [Dec 08, 2011 at 10:15 PM]
It's either incandescent or 100 watt MV or 175 watt MV....there's about 75% chance it has mogul base actually!!! This is big enough for 175 watt to fit...but 400 watt DEF will not fit.....but 400 watt MV WILL fit a bigger sized gumball...
joe_347V   [Dec 09, 2011 at 05:18 AM]
I guess that means you could stick 250w lamps inside or even 400w cram lamps. Shocked
GullWhiz   [Dec 09, 2011 at 01:48 PM]
I guess.............but ain't the best idea
Form109   [Dec 09, 2011 at 07:21 PM]
the lamp would run a little too hot no?
streetlight98   [Dec 09, 2011 at 09:02 PM]
I don't think heat severely affects MV lamps. I could imagine the wires inside the fixture cooking thoguh. Shocked
Form109   [Dec 09, 2011 at 10:08 PM]
i'd be wary of a Quartz MH lamp tho.
GullWhiz   [Dec 09, 2011 at 11:51 PM]
No....wouldn't be a big problem.....because it is vertical, they have a very low chance of exploding...its the horizontal mount that is the issue
icefoglights   [Dec 28, 2011 at 12:42 AM]
Cool little light!

Is that the same refractor used in the dusk-to-dawner?
GullWhiz   [Dec 28, 2011 at 01:21 AM]
Yeah, as for those Line Materials "Pea Heads" too!
