General Electric Evolve™ LED Medium Cobrahead
This is the General Electric Evolve™ LED Medium Cobrahead in the same test row as the Holophane and the Philips I uploaded previously.....This one had the MOST interesting design, and the way it lit up was VERY interesting and odd...but it was one of the well lit ones too..They use the reflective technology unlike some of the other LEDs in the row had so those were very different compared to the others but did great....

Now those GEs are available in smaller sizes found in GE's catalog!

This one is 157 watts for sure after doing research....the number of LEDs in there is unknown....those seems to have similar LED array setups as the Holophane did!

I was surprised to see how this lit up!

This one is found on a 6 foot Shakespeare Fiberglass pole with tapered arm!

Please rate and comment, if good comments and ratings I will treat you guys a NIGHT SHOT of all those!!!!

I'm assuming by what you said, that these are less glarey.
Antstar85   [Nov 11, 2011 at 06:35 PM]

Smooth talk or soften you up? I'm just doing what you said to do in the description. Razz I gave a good rating and left a positve comment. Very Happy

Ok gull you got me. Embarrassed This picture is interesting to me thoguh since I've never seen one. interseting NEMA tag too. I wonder when NEMA will validize tags for LED and Induction light sources. I've seen "I-80" for an 80w induction on here and a few variations of the LED tags on here....

Haven't seen one of these yet in the wild, but I have seen the GE Evolve parking lot lighting and was quite impressed. I like the design, but can't call it as attractive as an M250.

I haven't seen any of these in the wild here.
A_lights   [Nov 12, 2011 at 07:58 AM]
i have seen these before, they all worked too, when lit they look like a single led diode
GullWhiz   [Nov 12, 2011 at 01:46 PM]
Not really only one...on those looked to have 3........2 on sides and one in middle
streetlight98   [Nov 12, 2011 at 02:16 PM]
Whay are those butterfly-wing-shaped things below the optics? Is thata reflector or more LEDs?
GullWhiz   [Nov 12, 2011 at 02:22 PM]
Yep more lights! Lighting sideways!
Antstar85   [Nov 17, 2011 at 01:55 AM]
I was just on GEs website and noticed they have an updated LED evolve fixture now. It looks better than this model looks.

This video here shows how this medium version is put together...very COOL!!!!

Also for the newer design which is apparently smaller and lower wattage but same brightness is explained here Also in this video I like how they went AGAINST HPS by pointing out the visibility of the speeding sign! Very Happy Although I wonder would CMH and PSMH make signs more visible? I mean we should be able to choose sources and not have ONLY ONE SOURCE but to use different sources possible!

odd looking fixture.
