The Davit arms, the MD standard straight arms, the BGE trusses.....
This is a new highway called the Route 200....part of the 200 is already open, but not this part.

Those davit arms are not used anywhere in MD as far as I know....so it's a "Route 200 Specials!" Note the straight arms on the intersecting road which is route 29? Those were installed the SAME time as those Davit arms.....

Note those BGE trusses in the distance??? Now I am NOT sure if those davits are powered by BGE or PEPCO because the spot I was at was a PEPCO territory...Yep I was just like 5-7 powerlines away from BGE powerlines!

What do you guys think? (please ignore the spot in the sky...I need a new camera lens :-( )

that's a real nice scene.

Agreed, nice scenery! Yup I see the BGE trusses in the back and the angled arm on the 29. The davits look similar to those in Washington state that Darren took a pic of.

Nice scene, cool that MD is still installing sign lighting.

Of course!!!! Back in 2007....MD was actually installing clear MV sign lighting!!!!!!! But now I suspect they are using induction.... not entirely sure..but the newer sign lighting fixtures look bigger so I suspect icetrons!

Lucky you! MTO stopped using sign lighting sometime in the late 80s, early 90s, I guess around the same time when they got rid of MV. They seemed to use either coated MV or coated HPS up until when they stopped lighting them.

IMO some of the signs here still need sign lighting, some are even too small to see clearly during the day.

as far as i know ridot never used signlighting.

I have driven though the Western side of route 200 (this part in this pic isn't finished yet) and I saw those....but they all are powerdoors!!! Some are HPS and some are PULSE START MH!!!!!!!!!! And I have confirmed some of the underpass has ICETRONS! And NONE of them were out....all working just fine after 4 months of service!
