Indeed it was series. Prolly installed at a time when series lamps were the only street lighting lamps available. Multiple street lighting lamps have only been around since the late 40s.

This was taken in Westwood, NJ. Thes hort scroll arms are either straight or pointed downward. Admiral hats are abundant up here.
