Underside Shot of the Second Radial Wave
You can see a couple holes where there porcelain-glazed reflector has worn out but overall in good shape. you can also see the THHN wires (blue and white) flowing freely down the pole. It must have originally been strung overhead but I don't know where it would have gone, as all the wood poles have been taken out along with the metal street light poles.

Nice find! Have yet to see one in person

Yeah I went into lighting aspergers mode when I saw this. My internal lighting instincts went into play, having the feeling that there was another light nearby (and sure enough, a hundred or so feet away, there was another radial wave, the reflector on the other being more rotted out than this one). I swear, there's this little alarm inside me that can track down nearby lights in distress. Laughing

Sometimes when I see a fixture or a rare finding in the area I get a small adrenaline rush Laughing Laughing

Especially when its hidden or unexpected

I guess they will stay up on that tree until that tree gives and falls or gets cut down. (or someone actually removes the radial wave)

Shocked Nice find! I know of two radial waves in the GTA. Both are in downtown Toronto back alleys.

Here's a pic of one of them.

Yeah I'm thinking they will eventually cut the light off the tree right where the arm meets the tree. Would be nice if they kept it though. I emailed RI Parks & Recreation, who oversees the maintenance of the park about these lights but no reply as of yet.
