Vintage Dazor Fluorescent Desk Lamp Got this as a Christmas present! Came from eBay. It's an old fluorescent desk lamp, likely from the late 50s or early 60s. It has the manual-preheat style starter. Still works great for its age and puts out a lot of light. This unit is Model 1000. This shot shows the two bulbs beneath the shade. Vintage Dazor Fluorescent Desk Lamp

Got this as a Christmas present! Came from eBay. It's an old fluorescent desk lamp, likely from the late 50s or early 60s. It has the manual-preheat style starter. Still works great for its age and puts out a lot of light. This unit is Model 1000. This shot shows the two bulbs beneath the shade.

The Mazda is from before 1945. Be careful, it likely has zinc beryellium (spelling?) phosphors which can be very damaging to your health if it's broken.
Top one is pre-1992 I think...

The Mazda one is from before 1945?! Surprised That's a lot older than I thought! I'll be very careful with that bulb; I'll likely replace it with something newer and put the Mazda bulb somewhere for safe keeping. Smile

Sounds about right on the soft white GE.

Personally I'd replace both of them with more modern tubes to preserve the vintage ones, but it's up to you of course...in my case this would have Daylight lamps...

Yeah, I'll probably replace both lamps with something newer eventually. Smile I'll set the two vintage ones aside for safe keeping.
