Induction Icetron Streetlight
Another streetlight in New Jersey, down by the Delaware. Again, this is an Induction Icetron. I love the older looking "light green" housing on the unit, although these are newer used lights that are ONLY used in NJ so far. Used to replace MV lights.

Still cool looking though, need to have a mercury vapor light in there. The housing is nice though.

I would rather see Ceramic Metal Halide Wink

Sean, Mercury vapor used to be there....this is what replaced it.....those fixtures replaced all 100 and 175 watt MVs of PSE&G electric company in NJ.....the 250 watt and up remains in service.

I saw them lit, they light up very well...like a brand new coated MV!

Ooooohhhhh! Must be pretty! I thought I saw one of them lit up once. But that was a HPS light. That was a while back when I didn't know much. About anything..... Laughing It's ashame they just trash the old lights, whether they work or not. They should advertise for people to get them if they want any old equipment, instead of dumping it into a landfill.

Sean, here's information that will tell you stuff about those new fixtures see this link right here Enjoy!

i read the article and i think theyre wrong about the mercury content being high in mercury vapor lamps, plus even some of todays mercury lamps will make 100,000 HRS but with a lot of light output loss. so theyre partially wrong

I need a shredder - NOW! Laughing
