PolarLites 100w mercury lamp
I searched for years to find a medium base, 100w clear mercury lamp and couldn't find them anywhere. A few years later, a number of Chinese-made "decorative" yard lights showed up in home improvement stores and these lamps became common as dirt. I wouldn't count on their reliability but for a few hours a night or two a week, I'd be happy if they last a decade or so.

But again...dirt cheap stuff can be surprising! I have something similar....plus you can always use 80 watt med base MV which surprisely is sold at Lowes...I think?

The only Polar-Lites HID Lamp i owned was a 70 Watt HPS Lamp that came with a Lithoria Yardblaster that i bought at ace for around 35 Bucks.

that was when i discovered the importance of the lamps outer envelope for insulating the arctube as i shattered the outer bulb and without it the arctube wouldn't warm up to full brightness.
