I had a little "oopsie" with this one. I was removing it from my mounting arm the other day and did not remove the door. Needless to say, my 1/2" drive ratchet slipped out of my hands and sailed right through the glass. So I am in need of another deep style M-1000 glass. I have E-mailed the contact for National Grid's Asset Recovery Surplus division as they sell luminaires, lamps and refractors and I found they have 15 M-1000 refractors for sale right now. But if I can get one through the GoL or LG communities, I would much appreciate that.

As I indicated before, NGrid's Asset Recovery website has 15 refractors for sale right now. I e-mailed the contact for a price. If I can get two then that'll work fine as I will have a spare on hand. But yeah, great big Oopsie.

I called the guy today and am going to purchase two refractors, if possible. I have to have UPS pick up the package from Syracuse and ship it to Buffalo. I'll have it delivered to my work so I can personally inspect it.

About $30 plus cost of refractors. Unfortunately, nobody here has an M-1000 glass available. So this is the only option I have right now.

We used to have a bunch of spare M-1000 glass lens at work but were trashed a while back since we no longer have any M-1000 fixtures in service.

@ NiMo; how come there is a 30 dollar fee on top of the equippment cost? Is that shipping or is shipping thrown in there too? Man NGrid is just one big load of scams lol.

I have seen old shopping malls with M-1000s still in use, keep an eye out for any conversions to shoeboxs or LED.

The only thing is, most everything here has already been converted except for the Clinton-Bailey market which still has several M-1000s, but I'm not going to wait 10 years for a new glass. And the $30 cost is shipping. I have to get UPS to pick them up in Syracuse.
I'm still holding hope that someone has an M-1000 glass available before I get the ball rolling with this.
