Hubbell RMC
Here is a Hubbell RMC cobrahead that I got without a bottom door,I grabbed this Hubbell RM series fixture even though it didn't have a door to go with my Hubbell RLG.The RM series is non-existant here. I hope to be able to find a source for a door without too much trouble and a reasonable price.

Nice light! yeah I would look on ebay for a replacement door too.
lite_lover   [Jun 01, 2011 at 07:59 PM]
Thanks! Very Happy I got this light new from ebay without the door,I will keep looking on ebay and check out my local electrical wholesaler soon too and see if they can,and how much it will cost to get me door.

Nice light. Would a M-250A2 door fit on this?
NiMo   [Oct 09, 2011 at 06:23 PM]
No, the hinge assembly and the housing shape would not allow that.
gailgrove   [Dec 17, 2011 at 12:23 AM]
Hey Darren have you looked into getting a door for this yet?
joe_347V   [Dec 17, 2011 at 08:50 PM]
Would this or this door fit?
NiMo   [Dec 17, 2011 at 08:53 PM]
The second door is for the larger luminaires.
joe_347V   [Dec 17, 2011 at 08:56 PM]
Yeah it's a door for a RL series luminaire whereas the first one is a door for a RM series luminaire....
streetlight98   [Dec 17, 2011 at 10:57 PM]
The first door has different hinges though.....
gailgrove   [Dec 17, 2011 at 11:05 PM]
The hings look to be a match...
streetlight98   [Dec 17, 2011 at 11:33 PM]
How would the hinge pins attatch to that metal rod going across the higne area? It would need hinged that are hook-shaped and can hook onto the hinge rod. The hinge pins in the ebay listing look like they need higne cradles like my M-400....
NiMo   [Dec 18, 2011 at 12:07 AM]
Actually, no. The notches for this design are on the outside of the assembly. American Electric uses the same design for their luminaires. The rod that runs between the bracket is just for support.
streetlight98   [Dec 18, 2011 at 01:02 AM]
Ahh. Embarrassed I was thinking the rod was what the hinges held onto and that Hubbell changed the hinges at soem point.... i guess in that case, the first door would work. Also, it's MH, so MV lamps can be run and it has a 120v tap. a tad pricey though....
gailgrove   [Dec 18, 2011 at 01:16 AM]
I think $44 is quite reasonable for a ballast door is pretty reasonable.
streetlight98   [Dec 18, 2011 at 02:10 AM]
More like $65 with shipping. For a ballast door that's not bad, but it's more than I'd be willing to spend. Then again, i'm 13 and don't have that money to spend in the first place...

Guys, sorry it took me so long to notice these comments...Hey Niall, I put in a order for a new door/ballast assembly from my local wholesaler awhile back but they haven't received it yet as they were trying to put together a good size order first from Hubbell before they shipped it out to B.C. to reduce shipping costs. Unfortunately I can't get just an empty door, they only come with ballasts installed. Joseph, that RMD door in your link looks like it may fit,I will take a closer look at my fixture. Very Happy This would be a much better deal if they are willing to ship to Canada, the door I ordered via my wholesaler will be approx $115 Shocked
streetlight98   [Jul 08, 2012 at 11:39 PM]
$115! That's about the cost of a new fixture! Shocked (well maybe not a new hubbell though...)
lite_lover   [Sep 02, 2012 at 07:41 AM]

lite_lover   [Sep 02, 2012 at 06:17 PM]
