600V OCV? Wow that seems high! Interesting that it's got a sound rating lol. All electronic ballasts are supposed to be silent (though I know of some that have a dog-whistle-high screech sound to them). Did it come from a fixture since it's got socket attached?

BTW, I'm removing the T17 from my great-aunt's garage this summer. That just leaves the 8ft tandem F40T12 preheater on the removal list at her house. Everything else has either been converted to T8 or been replaced with a T8.

So that pretty much just leaves my grandma/aunt/late-grandpa's house with the F40/RS Western Electric lights, T17, and F20 halfpiper and my cousins' grandma's garage and basement. I might also be getting lights from my aunt and uncle (where your preheater came from) but after one of the ballasts had a rather violent EOL in my garage, i think my aunt and uncle may have taken it upon themselves to just trash the rest. I think they're still up but they haven't mentioned them at all.

From my grandma's house, there's the T17 light over my late-grandpa's desk (which I already have a replacement lined up for), three F40/RS WE lights in the garage (which I need to find replacements for), a loose F40/RS WE light in the basement, a loose NOS LOA shoplite with 1985 Philips Westinghouse lamps in the basement, a 3X F20T12 preheat halfpiper-type fixture that I'm considering just leaving up since like 6 things of BX cable are running from it and I think it'll just be a hassle to remove (and plus leaving it up means I don't need to buy a replacement, as the ReStore has been very dry lately).

From my cousins' grandma's garage there are three F40 preheat shoplights and the replacement crappy T8 shoplites are actually in the garage and have been waiting to be installed for the past decade along with a case of F32T8/741 Altos. In her basement she's got three more in mint condition but I'd need to buy replacements. And since all of them work she might not want me to replace them. "If it ain't broke, don't fix it."

I got the ballast from the thrift store, it must have been from some fixture to have the sockets attached.

Hmm maybe it was from someone who bought a new fixture but wanted it in T12 so they took this out a put a T12 ballast in lol.
