Yep, China Lighting XD

CHina Lighting eh? Razz Laughing I went to a store today that was lit entirely with F96T12 strip lights, had incandescent exit signs, and OLD automatic doors with IN/DO NOT ENTER and OUT/ DO NOT ENTER decals, which didn't work and were disconnected and turned into manual doors. it was a Grossman's Bargain Outlet. the place was rather dumpy but i love those older automatic door decals and it's been a while since I've seen a store lit with Magnetic T12 They had a few out lamps/ballasts and some of the lamps were dimmer than others. The newest lamps i saw were Philips cool white lamps. I saw one pair of daylight tubes and one pair of warm white tubes. the rest were cool white (including CW, CWX, and CWP)

Sounds like they had a nice little selection of different F96T12 lamps installed in there. Powergroove on LG indentified Chen Hui as the brand of this lamp.

Well i guess the CHina part was right lol. yeah the fixtures were weird though, the lamps were VERY close to each other and the width of the fixture was slightly smaller than the width of the two lamps side-by-side. It almost appears as if the fixtures were designed for T8 lamps, but they were pretty old and ratty looking.

I have one of these too, from a cheap battery powered closet light.

Yeah I've had a few over the years. Even in a normal Ac powered LOA fixture these don't last long. I remember getting a few weeks out of it before EOL

Well i hope it's worth the 50 cents you spent on it Darren lol (i'm guessing that's what the "50" written on th endcap means?)
lite_lover   [Jan 22, 2014 at 07:13 AM]
I hope it was too lol,yes that's how much I spent on it. lol

I find they get ok life on a real preheat T5 fixture but they die quickly if you run them in the battery powered fixtures they came with.

Hmm i have a pair of F4T5 battert powered lights and the ends blackened after the first couple times I used them but they haven't died. They have no marking at all. I think they're daylight too. Either daylight or 5000K. Definetly cooler than cool white. I'll have to hold it up to different known color tempereatures and find out.

These 4w BL's would make great accent lights. I once had a dream of using these on the handrails on each side of a set of stairs. I could probably do that easily with those linkable undercabinet fixtures.
