Fudged Fluoros
A pic of some damaged fluorescent fixtures I installed a number of years ago that came from the house and shop where I used to live. The house and shop were rented out for the past 6 years, but were demolished a month ago to make way for a new street and condo development. When the demolition crew came in to strip out the drywall for recycling they ripped everything down before I could get there and remove the fixtures myself. I did manage to save one of two 4 lamp 8ft fixture and repaired the minor damage they did to it ,as well as repaired two 2 lamp 8ft strips. The other bent 4 lamper (shown) will be shortened to make a 4 or 6 footer out of it, and cut the bent parts off of a few of the 2 lamp fixtures to make up shorter ones.

At least you can save some lampholders and ballasts...

Ouch! They look like Visioneering fixtures too. Well at least with their design it's pretty easy to chop them down since everything is screwed on.

I bet you felt sort of sad to see fixtures you installed yourself being bent like that Neutral

Yeah that's a sad sight! Especially seeing the 4 lamper bent up...and the building being gone too Sad

i've never seen a strip light with more than 2 lamps before so that's pretty cool to see a four lamper.

Yup, 4-lamp slimline fixtures do exist! I've seen them IRL before in some older stores.

They are super rare...don't know.of any in my area!

I've seen them before, in older supermarkets and convenience stores sometimes with the inner lamps removed and shiny reflectors installed. One also had this beast still in service.

Yes,it made me sad to see these damaged,I was planning to take the 4 lampers with me and put something else up in their place, but didn't have enough time.I was able to salvage a few lampholders and ballasts, unfortunately the dummies cut the wires off real close to the ballasts in a couple of the fixtures Mad All the ballasts were okay in the 4 lampers, I replaced 3 of the old GE ballasts with Philips ballasts back in the 90's as they were starting to blow the cathodes out on new lamps after a short while. It was sad to see the place go,but at least salvaged some stuff from there, a friend and I removed the three large roll-up shop doors as he is thinking of building a shop of his own to store stuff as his wife is complaining she can hardly get around in the existing garage lol.

Wow those 2-lamp fixtures are REALLY bent! They must have just pulled them down with a crowbar or something! Looks like you fastened them really well though originally!
I can't believe any lamps survived...they must have removed them first?
What did the 2-lamp ones have for ballasts?
