Here's a shrouded lamp that is open rated,  thing is it blew the shroud completely into pieces and its all rattling in the outer bulb,  the outer bulb is intact though!

Wow. Shocked yeah it's common for lamps to destroy the shroud but as long as the outer bulb remains intact it did its job i suppose. I wish the bigger companies made mogul base low wattage PSMH lamps. Plusrite is the only one i know of that makes mogul based PSMH lamps in 50-150W. They're ED28 lams too. Makes more sense to me to use ED23.5 for such a small arc tube but whatever lol. Laughing

I have seen such E17 shaped MH already silvered like this at the escalator between Medical Center MARTA station and the hospital from time to time. Perhaps, it has been running 24/7 when that happens.

I think CMH lamps will continue to work after they leak. I bet that's an odd sight lol.

I saw one that was slightly leaked once in a wall light on Newer walgreens! Either 250W or 400w CMH
