Not worth it. I'm glad I built my fluorescent lamp stash up years ago, as the etch suggests these lamps aren't made by GE, just stamped with their name, and will be of poor quality, and that GE is trying to get out of the light bulb market. In general I think we will see all replacement lamps being poor quality, higher priced, and eventually discontinued entirely, to move more and more people toward LED as the sole lighting source of the world. At least where I live, a significant hazardous waste disposal fee is now added to the purchase of all new mercury-containing lamps, so it is better to buy NOS lamps on eBay anyway.

Yeah, the HID bulbs at Lowe's are over $20! Not worth it! Except the MV lamps are less then the HPS, and MH lamps at Lowe's.

I found myself using a lot more older stock lamps from places like Restore now that prices for new lamps are so high. Fortunately most Restores in my area still stock a good variety of incandescent, fluorescent and the occasional HID lamp.
