I've seen lamps like these last for at least 20 years.

lot's of Nema's in my area have BT Lamps...all of them are still Pretty bright and white with abit of Pink in their color.
GullWhiz   [Sep 05, 2010 at 07:24 PM]
WHat fixture is this?
Form109   [Sep 05, 2010 at 07:45 PM]
the Fixture is an Early GE SA-201 Nema...the one's that are Rounded and Not Blockish.
GullWhiz   [Sep 06, 2010 at 02:26 AM]
Most likely Westinghouse....Westinghouse tend to stay pinkish for a long time on the coating.....I have gotten late 70s and early 80s Westies that had a lot of use but still bright with pinkish color...But that can also be Philips....try zooming in the etch....if it's Westy...it tends to usually be still very readable enough and etch often don't wear away too much if it was from late 70s or early 80s....If Sylvania...it would have a BIG etch....if faded...it should still be kinda obvious.....If it was a Philips...from distance..usually it will look like nothing is there...but often I find Philips have white etch (which most likely is faded...but all my used lamps that are Philips (or Philips-Westinghouse) they have white etch when it is very used....

My 1990 Sylvania BT28 lamp was running dusk-to-dawn until March of this year and is still going strong.

update: Fixture has been gone for a few months replaced by a 100 W HPS M250R2.

Grrrr. At least it was HPS and not LED. I'd rather see PMH/CMH instead of HPS though.
