LOL they couldn't find a OVS door, so they got a OVZ door and put electrical tap all around it to replace the original door.
Well, as long as it works... right? Razz

I've seen it done before. Mismatching a GE M250R2 door with a Cooper OVZ housing. Temporary fix.

"Temporary" until the fixture fails again. Laughing

Temporary permanent fix. Lol

I'll give them credit for getting the brand right. It wouldn't look so terrible if they made clear electrical tape lol. Looks like the latch broke out of the fixture. Probably why the door got lost in the first place.

Why even bother doing something like this though? The fixture will still work without the door. This just looks bad.

Because they can't leave the light without a door. They have to leave the job with a complete fixture up on the pole. They probably just took the lazy route and didn't feel like disconnecting the wires to the arm, removing the connection at the terminal block, unbolting the light, removing it, coming back down to the ground in the bucket, grabbing the new fixture, going back up in the bucket, putting the new fixture on the mast arm, bolting it down, connecting the wires to the terminal block, installing the new lamp and PC, and making the connections at the triplex. It would be faster to just tape a new door onto the fixture if the fixture still works. Looks stupid but some people just don't want to do anymore work than they have to lol.
