I've heard that Chicago has them too. Never seen them here in Lil' Rhodey though

Yeah, many of the crime fighters are 310 watt HPS, hey Dave you wouldn't happen to have any more of these you could give/sell? I would be quite interested in getting one some day.

That's an interesting wattage, quite uncommon outside north America. I come to realize than in your country there are a lot of intermediary wattages like 200, this 310 and 750W which fill in the gap in the normal 150-250-400-600-1000W portfolio we share in Europe.

In North America the wattages are 35, 50, 70, 100, 150, 200, 250, 310, 400, 430, 600, 750 and 1000 (not including mercury refit)

Cal-Trans uses a lot of these, they replaced the 700w MV that were quite common on freeways.

I noticed the 700w MV lamps are extremly hard to find now. All other MV lamps are still made, but the 700w one is hard to find.

Eye Lighting is the only company that still offers 700 watt MV lamps but they're very expensive. No one really uses 700 watt MV anymore anyway.
