Remote P-Cell
Using a spare P-cell receptacle and a one gang box, I installed a remote P-cell receptacle that is tied in with my luminaire arm. Whenever I have a luminaire with a P-Cell (which is all but 3 of them) I use shorting caps.

nice set up. Smile i'd guess you don't need a photocell indoors though.

I've been able to trip the P-cell by turning one of the ceiling lights towards the window. This is just a redundancy I installed when I have P-cell units in.

So it's more to provide that "on the street feeling"? What light is connected to this photocell now? what would happen if there was a P-cell on this and on the fixture and both were connected? would they short eachother out or would it work?

Is that an LOA shoplight and a powergroove fixture I see in the background?
NiMo   [Jan 09, 2013 at 01:52 AM]
I have my incandescent post top connected to the P-cell, I believe that is a LOA T-8 shoplight, and no, that is not an original VHO fixture. It is an old shoplight modified for F48T12/VHO lamps. The ballast is a Jefferson canister ballast mounted with my NEMA lights. BTW, want to have a little fun? Hook up a P-cell, especially to incandescent, and let it feed back on itself.

Is it one of the better quality older shoplights with the wide reflector? Like my old Sears one I rescued? (look in my gallery)
Will that shoplight run T12 lamps as well?

I bought it at Valu Home Centers about four years ago and I haven't had any problems with it. It will not operate T-12s though.
