Homemade Mini-HighBay Fixture - Inside Here's the inside. right now it's wired up for incandescents with one round junction box extender. I plan to add two more boxes on top of it and will fit the fixture for 35W HPS lamps. No way is a 70W PSMH ballast going to fit and a 100W incandescent gets pretty hot so a 70W PSMH lamp would fry this thing. I don't think 35W HPS really gets that hot so it will be suitable for this. A 35W HPS choke and its igniter should fit in this once I add on the extra boxes. Right now I just taped over the socket terminals but I will find a better method for covering them later. Thanks. Very Happy Now if only I had a 35W HPS ballast and lamp. Laughing Well they're not that expensive. i can get a Sola ballast and Plusrite lamp shipped for about 35 bucks. Not bad... I'd get a nice Sylvania lamp but 6 bucks for a lamp or 15? Confused

I wonder if you could get a CMH HPS retrofit for white light eventually?
I recongnize that Sylvania incandescent off in the background...a Double Life one?

CMH retrofits don't exist for 35W HPS. Yep that's a 90W DoubleLife SuperSaver.

50W HPS ballast is too big believe it or not. 35W HPS just fits.
