are you sure you didn't just repaint this thing too while you were up there? Razz Shocked this thing is in better condition than some of the new siemens/eagle signals that go up around here. some are strting to chip (namely the ped signals, the traffic signals seem to keep their paint better)

It's the same here, the few remaining Mark IV ped signals have more or less lost their paint while the traffic signals seem to have held up better.

The remaining CGE/Fortran signals and the Eagle Flatback signals installed in the 60s and 70s still have most of their paint on.

I believe McCain was the worst at keeping their paint.

It was recently re-painted. The main housing still looked good, but the backplate and visors were fading. The whole intersection's heads were re-painted.

Over here most traffic lights are now poly so they need paint and the city dosen't paint the few remaining aluminium ones left either.

Glad to see this classic light repainted though.
