Nice! Is this one electronic going by the "EL" in the name? Hmm it says an average 60W incandescent gets 492 lumens? That sounds awfully low. Last I checked the standard life ones get something like 850 lumens. Does the globe shape versus the A shape really make the bulb that much less efficient? Shocked

Maybe for a 60w globe bulb...those aren't all that bright IIRC...

Yes this one is electronic programmed start,I guess the G40 frosted globes are dimmer as the light emitted from the filament is farther away from the outer envelope.

Ah I see. Yeah that makes sense that the lumens would be less. It would be like having a 100W HPS inside an AEL 327 (that would by hysterical, especially with socket extenders centering the lamp in the reflector) Laughing
