I had some lights similar to these in use in my bedroom ceiling fan since 2010. I think they are made for Philips by TCP. I just recently took them out to give AmbientLEDs a shot.

I got one of these from the recycling centre once, as a gift for recycling my EOL lamps.

These are probably the best cfls you can get out there now, haven't heard of any bad EOL with any Philips cfls at all! They have changed the design recently and Philips cfls look more like the sylvania micro series

these must not be TCPs than since with them the story is quite the opposite. Laughing

TCP makes many manufacturer's spiral CFLs, including some Sylvania and GE lamps. I'd say somewhat more than 50% of the lamps are fine, but plenty die early.
