With the poles so close together like that it surprises me that they didn't opt for a post top style fixture. The cobraheads seem out of place on the black poles with stubby arms.

The old lights were overhead mercury vapor globe fixtures, but in 2005, the city decided to eliminate the last of their mercury vapor street lights.
