Someone on ebay is selling a Unistyle 175 for almost $200 (including shipping). The seller is from your area too. They also incorrectly called it a Westinghouse street light. The word "steampunk" also irritates me. It doesn't even describe the item and isn't at all necessary. They only add "VINTAGE!" and "STEAMPUNK!" to justify selling the item at a ridiculous price. You almost never see an item with those two words priced reasonably.
The seller sounds like a greedy jerk. It really irks me how sellers overprice stuff that isn't even worth that much. These people are insane if they think someone is going to pay $120 for something that is well over 50 years old. Just because something is old doesn't necessarily make it valuable. I used to get street lights from Duquesne Light for only $16.00 plus tax. Only an idiot would pay hundreds for an old street light.
I am guilty of that
I have overpaid for a number of my cobraheads. Of course I would have liked to get them for next to nothing, but I really wanted them.
