MV 100% Very Happy

I bet that MV would outlast the LED Razz

Depends on the fixture manufacturer. The LED does have replaceable components (driver, elements, etc.) and they use less than a fraction of the energy that MV uses. Plus their color rendition is equivalent to a /DX merc.

The sad thing is that, given the LED has a "maintenance-free" service life, it shouldn't have to have replaceable components. But of course the manufacturers stretch the truth with every aspect of LEDs. Rolling Eyes Mad

Personally I'd take the MV Smile
I actually don't mind the color of LED streetlights though.

I like how LED and induction are driving away the ugly orange HPS glow and bringing back that "moonlight" feel outside at night.

That merc will be there as long as its ballast worke and replacement lamps are available.

Sweet! In CA, no less! Laughing
Actually I think there's a lot of vintage lighting in CA, at least in SLO area...slimlines still in commercial use, etc.

MV, no doubt about it...
