NOS 250w MV Sylvania B2227

This was from a Facebook seller. It's a 250w H37 MV Sylvania/Powerlite B2227 from 1982. Appears to be new old stock based on the condition and the included instructions.

It didn't come with a lamp or PC so I stuck in a 250w Sylvania 250w DX cleartop originally from my OV-10.

The ballast is a Sola Canada 250w MV CWI 120v/240v, Sola Canada ballasts were OE in Sylvania/Powerlite luminaires for years. Also interesting to see a MV cobrahead dated 1982. By 1982 most new installations (here in Ontario) were already HPS, with only existing MV lights still in use. I suppose this might have been ordered for spot replacement purposes. Note the lack of a NEMA tag too. Sylvania/Powerlite was rather late in adopting them compared to other OEMs. I think they only started using them in the mid 80s.
