Rare Find! - 4 way Crouse Hinds Beacon
Here's a super rare find in Ontario and Canada. It's a old Crouse Hinds fixed 4 way Type D/DT beacon mounted over a 4 way stop in Madoc, ON. It's surprisingly all original and is all incandescent too. I believe this is only known 4 way of any kind still in use in Ontario. 4 way cluster beacons are still sometimes used but this is the first time I've seen a fixed 4 way still in use.

Nice catch!!! Seems like one of the oldest signals left in the province! I like that they have no traffic lights at all in Madoc. Its also Green painted! Cool

Yeah, no traffic signals at all aside from the beacon too and yeah it's green painted like the vintage MTO signals. I wonder if this is the only Crouse Hinds D/DT signal remaining in Ontario. Toronto used to have a few of the 12-8-8 versions but they're long gone now.

I managed to track down one of these for my collection. It's not green but it's the same model. It's currently in the process of being reassembled.

Hopefully this fixture is still here. Not very often do we come across old Green signals anymore

Yeah, aside from this I haven't really seen any green signals around.
