Modern Outdoor Flourescent Fixture
intreasting fluorescent fixtures at a City Bus transfer station in Fort Worth,i haven't seen these excact ones lit at night but similar fixtures hang from the canopy at the main transfer station in downtown and they actually light pretty well at night. They have 6 Tubes each which Im assuming are T5's? not sure. pretty stoked to see these they remind me of older outdoor fluorescent fixtures in a way.

T5 HO or T5 some are T4 { 4ft 54w ??}. They are better than the LEDs for a parking lot. They are all over the place in RI.

Interesting, I've seen some utility company yards lit with fluorescent before too.

Is that a motion sensor at the end of each fixture?

you know im not sure what the white things on the bottom are. the PC's are on top of the fixtures.
traffic light1   [Apr 20, 2014 at 01:27 AM]
I think it is.
Form109   [Apr 20, 2014 at 01:33 AM]
why the need for a motion sensor tho. Question

Think of it like this, do you keep your lights on when you go to sleep. Laughing That is what I think Razz But that could a scan dimmer at the bottom Wink looked on Google.

Well, yes for a bedroom but I don't really see the need for a bus terminal to have motion sensors. Besides I think it'd be a lot safer to just light it dusk to dawn.
Form109   [Apr 20, 2014 at 01:43 AM]
yeah im thinking that too joe. but im still curious as to what they are tho.

btw I think these pictures came out great to be taken from a cell phone Very Happy

Scan dimmer does not turn it off. It is a dimmer. Thank you for the photo. I am strange I need the home dark to sleep but the LPS says on in the living room

my question is why these Flourescent lights? they long ago fell out of favor for outdoor lighting yet here these are. clearly modern units. it's just astonishing when I step back and think about it critically.
