How old is it? And I noticed a lot of those Canadian lamps have the symbol on the top....what does it mean?

It has a C-6 filament,i would say late 70's to 80's? The symbol is: C.S.A. Canadian Standards Association

Jace if you're talking about the circular CSA symbol on top of the lamp, which if I recall correctly is the Canadian Standard Association certification which is like a UL mark in the US. Which basically means it's certified for use in Canada. (Edit Looks like Darren answered before me Very Happy
