The inner blue left piece was bad causing half of the left blue border to not work, the right didn't work either because the red (neon)stars (upper right left (removed) had a contamination, I have bypassed the bad pieces so it would at least be more lit up ..this was easy to find which ones didn't work with the neon tester!
They might maintain this sign but not install new neon. I haven't payed close attention to Walgreens since I never shop there but most places that used backlit fluorescent signs are LED now. I haven't seen a walgreens sign like this before though. This is the closest Walgreens to me. They have three of the building mounted Walgreens signs and this roadside sign.
Yes we maintain all signage, and unfortunately walgreens does not have neon on new stores after about 2009 they use backlit fluorescent 6xF60T12/CW/HO ..the neon is more reliable and looks nicer IMO and this is coming from a fluorescent guy

I doubt that they would fabricate a replacement tube due to prohibitive expensive to make now
